The landscape design for Cape Cod Hospital offers a comforting space for patients to heal. On the upper floors of the building, roof gardens provide places for patients, visitors and employees to rest, while the courtyard on second level of the building is a larger, more interactive space with seating areas, shrubs and trees. The adjacent parking lot is reconfigured to manage stormwater runoff from the building and site in a series of rain gardens, as well as improve circulation for both pedestrians and vehicles.
