Megan Little
Associate
Megan grew up at the base of the Santa Monica Mountains in California, where years of riding horses along fire trails fostered a deep connection to the land.
Megan is particularly attuned to the ephemeral. Plants, seasonal change, and the subtle atmospheres of place and brings that sensibility to both residential and institutional scale work. Her design process is grounded in research and observation, beginning with careful cataloging of users and spaces. Context, history, and environmental narratives are central to her practice and continue to inform and inspire her approach.
Outside of project work, Megan leads the office’s mentorship initiative, the Wayfinding program, and has a keen interest in the social dynamics of collaborative design and supporting staff in their professional development. She is inspired by how design teams support one another and how those relationships shape the work itself.
Megan earned a bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture from the University of Oregon, where she received the ASLA Merit Award and was named the 2018 University Olmsted Scholar. While there, she worked as a research assistant at the Institute for a Sustainable Environment and at the Aerial Photography and Map Library. She joined STIMSON in 2020, following work as a landscape designer in Cambridge, MA and a brief stint on a cattle farm. When not at her desk, you might find her riding her bike or getting lost in a garden.
