Kate Doherty
Intern
Kate joins STIMSON as an intern in the Cambridge office.
Born in Brooklyn and raised near Buffalo, NY, Kate developed an early appreciation of public space in Prospect Park and a curiosity about postindustrial landscapes along Lake Erie's shore. She feels at home in the woodlands, meadows, and freshwater habitats of the Northeast. Knowledge of these environments inspires her to apply ecological attention in urbanized contexts and enhance public experience of the natural world through design.
Kate is a candidate in the Master in Landscape Architecture program at the Harvard Graduate School of Design and holds a Bachelor of Science in Environment and Sustainability from Cornell University. Her perspective is shaped by fieldwork and her experience growing wildflowers as a student leader at Cornell Botanic Gardens.
Kate finds inspiration in pausing to notice plants and material details wherever she goes.
