Edgewood
Greenwich, CT

On the outskirts of Greenwich, this project invited us to design and restore a historic four-acre estate. Taking a cue from the Client’s interest in the work of Dan Kiley, we were inspired to think simply about relationships between line, plane, and pattern across the site, envisioning a year-round garden that would be a meaningful extension of the existing residence and provide spaces for pleasure, recreation, and reflection. These spaces include a series of fieldstone walls that define varied plateaus surrounding the house and gardens. Additionally, the site’s microclimate inspired the use of regional materials and local craftsmanship during construction.
