Experimentation Station at STIMSON’s Princeton Office
Jessica Alpert, Landscape Designer at our Princeton office, is a big wildflower enthusiast and has been propagating and planting wildflowers from seed for years. As a volunteer plant conservationist with the New England Wildflower Society, Jess surveys and inventories wildflowers and rare plants in the field.
Jess set up a growing station in the office so we can experiment with propagating native species from seed. Wild Bergamot (Monarda fistulosa) and Boneset (Eupatorium perfoliatum) are our early risers. Still waiting for these other beauties: Virgin's-bower clematis (Clematis virginiana), Paw Paw (Asimina triloba), and Wild strawberry (Fragaria virginiana).
