During the past fifteen years, STIMSON has collaborated with numerous architects, consultants, and steering committees at Harvard University to implement and build landscape projects at various scales across campus.
This series of projects includes three dormitory landscapes as a part of Harvard’s billion dollar renewal program for the River House district of campus. The designs include outdoor gathering spaces, dining, seating, and contemplation gardens, as well as streetscapes and entryways. Careful attention was paid to historic context, existing historic trees, and materials, as well as to the careful integration of landscape with architectural modifications to allow for accessibility and modern dormitory programming.
